Students will be dismissed from class early on Friday to compete at the Millard West GOLD Tournament. Novices are eligible to compete at this tournament and will be judged by Varsity competitors.

The Papio South Forensics Tournament does not offer a division specifically for novices, but novices are encouraged to compete alongside varsity students. All competitors are eligible to earn an NIETOC Bid at this tournament. Any student competing must stay though awards to support any team member who are receiving awards that day.

Due to the proximity of Papio South High School to Bellevue West, Bellevue West will not be providing transportation to this tournament. Students will need to be at the tournament by 7:45 AM.

Kick the 2024-2025 Forensics Season off with a Novice Tournament at Millard North High School. Varsity Speech Students are welcome to attend the tournament to assist with judging.

All novices are required to compete at this tournament.

Students will be dismissed from class at 1:15. The bus will leave for Millard North High School at 1:45 PM sharp. We expect to be back at the school at approximately 9:30 PM. Students will communicate with their parents when we leave Millard North.

The NSAA Districts Qualifier is each student’s chance to compete for the opportunity to compete at State in Kearney. As this is a limited entry tournament, coaches will select entries prior to the date of the tournament based on performance throughout the season.

The National Speech and Debate Association National Qualifier is each student’s chance to compete for the opportunity to compete in Des Moines, Iowa in June. As this is a limited entry tournament, coaches will select entries prior to the date of the tournament based on performance throughout the season thus far.

Students who are selected for the NSAA Districts Team and the NSDA National Qualifiers Team will be expected to sign up for a special practice session on Saturday, February 24th. Students are not expected to attend the entire Workshop.
